I had my first question about my locs today. As I was walking into a meeting a guy asked me, "how did you get those tiny braids in your hair?"
These are Sisterlocks, I replied
He said, If you take them out I bet you would have a huge afro,
I said, These are permanent, I don't plan to ever take them out
He said, Wow, permenant, never take them out, wow!
I was not offended by his curosity, I am sure that he is wondering how I can call them locs since they are so small. It will be interesting to see what comments he will have in the future.

You're off to a great start with your blog. The layout is beautiful. As far as the "tiny braids" comment, it's always interesting to see folks' reaction. I sometimes tell em' (especially women), wouldn't you cut your permed hair off if you decided to get rid of it? HTH in responding to folks. You're likely to get a variety of comments and questions. Lady Locs, I bet if you had extensions in your hair, that comment probably would not have been made. I can't wait for those types of comments to be conducted at me. I will run my fingers threw my locs and just shake them..LOL
